Hair fall is common in both men and women. While genes play a major role, there are a lot of other factors that cause hair loss.

Home Remedies For Hair Fall Control

1Aloe vera Gel

Aloe vera gel also works wonders. Massage the scalp with aloe gel, leave in for a few hours and then wash with lukewarm water. Aloe gel, coconut milk, and wheat germ oil make great hair conditioning treatment to help fight hair fall.

Aloe vera plays a crucial role in balancing the pH levels of the scalp and hair. It penetrates deep into the scalp and hair, thereby promoting hair growth.

2. Coconut milk

Coconut milk is a great source of nutrients. Massage it on the scalp to reduce hair fall.

Coconut milk is rich in vitamin E and fats that help to moisturize your hair and keep it healthy. The milk is rich in potassium, another vital ingredient for hair growth. Coconut milk is rich in proteins, essential fats and minerals such as potassium. Thus, washing your hair with coconut milk can help reduce breakage of hair. Coconut oil also contains the same nutrients and hence, it strengthens your hair right from the root through the shaft to the tip.

3. Neem & Amla

Indian herbs like neem and amla steeped in massage oil are great hair fall treatment options.

Method :
Boil the neem leaves in water until the water level comes down to half its quantity. Wait for the mixture to cool. Rinse your hair with this mixture.

Neem has excellent antibacterial properties that help you get rid of dandruff. This ensures the scalp is healthy and promotes hair growth. It also stimulates blood flow to the skin, thereby nourishing the hair roots. Neem is even found to eliminate head lice and nits.

Method :
Crush the amla fruit to extract its juice. Mix 2 teaspoons of this juice or amla powder with an equal quantity of freshly squeezed lime juice. Apply this on your scalp and allow it to dry. Rinse off with warm water.

Amla is rich in vitamin C, a nutrient essential for the growth and strengthening of hair. Vitamin C also helps build collagen that is vital for hair growth. Apart from this, vitamin C also helps absorb iron, thereby keeping your locks strong and healthy. Amla also helps prevent premature graying of hair.

4. Onion Juice

Grate the onion and extract its juice. Dip the cotton ball into the juice, and apply it directly to your scalp, ensuring the hair strands are covered from the root to the tip. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, after which you can rinse with cold water. Shampoo as usual.

Onion has antibacterial properties that can eliminate the bacteria that can cause scalp infections. It also has a high sulfur content that improves blood circulation to the hair follicles and encourages hair growth. Sulfur is also known to treat infected hair follicles.

5. Egg White Mask

You can take one egg white and mix it with a teaspoon of olive oil. Beat to make it into a paste. Apply all over your scalp and hair. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and mild shampoo.

Eggs are a rich source of protein, B vitamins, and essential nutrients for optimum hair health

6. Hot Oil Hair Massage

It is an indulgence that is so typically Indian that many of us don’t realize how it helps. Massages help stimulate blood flow to the scalp. Choose coconut, olive, mustard or almond oil for best results. Getting a head massage has two advantages – stimulating hair follicles and also making you feel relaxed.

1. Heat in any form is bad for hair. Hot water, hair dryers, and hair styling tools dry out the hair. Limit their usage.

2. Rubbing wet hair vigorously will lead to hair breakage. Avoid brushing wet hair for the same reason.

3. Make sure to follow the product instructions carefully. If you use too much of a product, it could lead to more hair fall.

4. Don’t tie your hair tightly all the time as it puts pressure on the roots and causes hair to fall.

5. Try not to use too many hair products as residue can build up. Rinse shampoo well to make sure hair follicles are not clogged.

To solve your problem of hair loss, try some of these natural remedies. Also, following a proper diet will keep your hair healthy & help reduce hair fall. So, eat plenty of green vegetables and fresh fruits as much as possible.
